Data Controller
The Data Controller for this application is Next Vision, the developer of the Nairobi application.
Transparency Note
The "Nairobi" application is designed to fully protect user privacy. It does not collect, transmit, or store any type of personal or identifiable data.
Types of Data Collected and Purpose
The application’s development philosophy is based on the principle of "privacy by design":
No personal data: The application does not request, collect, or store any user-identifiable information (such as names, email addresses, or login credentials).
No tracking: No tracking systems or third-party SDKs intended for profiling or marketing purposes are integrated into the application.
Permissions Required on the Device
To provide the indoor navigation service, the application requires access to the device's camera. This permission is managed as follows:
Camera Access (Computer Vision): The app uses the camera exclusively to analyze the surrounding environment in real time and calculate the user's position within the museum using computer vision algorithms. This processing occurs entirely and exclusively locally on the user's device. No images or videos are ever recorded, saved, or transmitted to external servers.
Processing Methods and Location
Processing is carried out using automated digital tools. Since no data is sent externally or saved, processing is limited to the temporary memory (RAM) of the device while the app is in use.
User Rights (GDPR)
In compliance with the GDPR, users have the right to access their information. However, because the "Nairobi" application does not collect or store any data that can be associated with the user, the Data Controller does not possess any personal data to provide, modify, or delete
